Barlovento, through its subsidiary Barlovento Brasil, signed last Monday a collaboration agreement with the SENAI Institute for Innovation in Renewable Energy of Brazil.
The SENAI Institute for Innovation in Renewable Energy (ISI-ER) [1]is part of a network of 26 innovation institutes created by the National Service for Industrial Training [2] (SENAI) in Brazil to meet the different needs of industry. It is the largest network of private institutes in the country for Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) in the sector, with the Natal unit, in Rio Grande do Norte, as the main reference in research, development and innovation with a focus on wind and solar energy.
The agreement signed by Barlovento and SENAI is aimed at the development of research, projects, technical services to support scientific and technological activities, professional training and industrial development.
To this end, we will collaborate in the creation of an Onshore and Offshore test field for LIDAR and SODAR measurements and calibration, as well as wind turbine tests. Other tasks such as mechanical load studies, power quality and noise emission and LVRT and HVRT tests as well as calibration of anemometers and other equipment will also be carried out.
With over 25 years of experience in the wind energy sector, Barlovento has extensive experience and capacity in these areas.
This is another step towards strengthening Barlovento's presence in Brazil, and we hope that the collaboration will be fruitful and beneficial for both parties, and we are grateful for the trust that SENAI has placed in our company.
